What is the Academic Compass?
Teachers help plan and participate in these educational experiences for every subject.
What are field trips?
Families should be contacted during this annual process to find out their plans for the next year.
What is re-enrollment?
Teachers must arrive early or exactly on time for these when assigned them.
What are duties?
These comments should be accurate, individualized, and provide next steps.
What are report card comments?
These conversations are designed to strengthen student connection, belonging, and well-being.
What are Belonging Checks?
Teachers are expected to support this system through assemblies, spirit days, and house points.
What are the houses/ House system?
Highly detailed records should be maintained regarding THIS so we know how we could've kept a family.
Why a family withdrew
Teachers should refrain from using these during class or supervision unless required.
What are phones?
Teachers communicate with these individuals consistently and professionally.
Who are families?
Students identify these staff members as trusted adults they can turn to for help.
What is an SJA Champion?
These should be organized, purposeful, engaging, and appropriately supervised.
What are clubs?
This will be where you will record your Academic Compass and Belonging Checks.
What is the Managebac Behaviour and Progress section?
When absent, teachers must provide these for the supply teacher.
What are sub plans?
Teachers should address and document issues proactively using this.
What is the Academic Compass?
This includes events such as Shakespeare, DRA's, Exhibition, Personal Project, and the Science Fair.
What are SJA Milestones?
You can give these to students to encourage school spirit!
House points.
These conversations help keep families connected to student learning.

Attendance must be completed by this time at ESC and within this many minutes in High School.
What is 9:15 at ESC, and within 10 minutes in HS?
Elementary and Middle School staff must use this platform daily to communicate learning and engagement.

Teachers are expected to demonstrate commitment to three elements within THIS.
