How are motifs and symbols related?
A motif can turn into a symbol. For example, if a bird keeps showing up in a story, at first, it's just a motif, but later it might represent something bigger, like freedom or hope. So, motifs are things that repeat, and when they carry a bigger meaning, they become symbols.
