Fall Precaution Levels
When a patient first admits, the nurse will explain and implement this fall precaution level?
What is high?
This intervention doesn't prevent a fall but may prevent an injury.
What are fall mats?
This is the location of the all about me sign.
What is the back of the bathroom door?
This is the first color charm every patient gets.
What is yellow?
This is where a patient's walker and wheelchair should be when not in use.
What is at the front of the room?
These 2 fall levels are identified by yellow visual indicators.
What are high and basic?
This is how you know the posey box is activated.
What is flash green?
This is the person that updates the all about me sign.
Who is the occupational therapist?
This is the color charm for standard fall risk patients.
What is green?
This is how you get a patient that has fallen up from the floor.
What is a lift?
This fall level does not need alarms but still should call for help.
What is standard?
This is the level the bed alarm should be set on for high or basic patients.
What is level 2?
This is what will be marked to tell you that you can leave the room.
What is "can be left alone in bathroom?"
These 2 indicators tell me that a patient has fallen since admission.
What is an orange charm and an orange magnet?
This is what you will see on the banner bar if a patient is getting out of bed or unhooking the seatbelt.
What is Exit?
This fall level doesn't need to call for help before getting up.
What is free to move?
This intervention should not be used if the patient can't remove it.
What is the chair alarm?
This is where you should be if the sign says stay with me in the bathroom.
What is in the bathroom?
These 2 visual indicators let me know a patient can move around on their own in the room.

These are the 3 things that should be completed after a fall.
