How do you sign up for 102R VS. Study buddy?
102R is a BYUI class. Study buddy you can sign up at the desk or through a qualtrics link.
What is the Green and Red Folder? What do they each stand for?
Green Folder - Tutor is uncomfortable/needs assistance. Another tutor comes and sits in on the appointment.
Red Folder - In immediate danger. The admin will call 911 and campus security.
Your student does homework the whole time during his appointments: What can you do during these tutoring appointments?
Read Arbinger, get caught up on teams, work on anything RC related, fill out Study Buddy logs, Tell Kennedy and Abbey how much you love them as your TL's, Be involved in their homework with them, read Conference talks, research topics for your students, study strategies, read through the FAQ Document.
What are the rules regarding meeting with students on zoom and meeting outside of RC hours?
You need permission directly from Sister Kirkham. (If it's a last minute, one-time change because of a good reason, notify the admin on desk, message sister Kirkham, and Post it on appointment cancellation and updates channel.)
What counts as a no show and what do you do?
If they show up 15 minutes late, no show. If they don't cancel 12 hours in advance, no show. Post in Appointment cancellation and updates:
"Kennedy (102R or 99) no-showed our appointment today at 10:15."
Reconcile it as "missed" by Saturday at 3.
What does QPR stand for?

What are the Reading Center Hours?
The RC opens at 8AM M-F and will close at 5:30PM on Mondays and Fridays, and 8PM T/W/TH; Saturday hours are 10-2PM.

My student discloses to me that they want to commit suicide, what do I do?
Take it seriously, don't leave them alone, give them your full attention, notify Sister Kirkham, Ask if they are considering suicide or if they have a plan, Never keep their plan a secret, Get others involved. Anything else you'd add?
I am in need of immediate help (anxiety attack, emergency situations, etc.) …what should / can I do?
Knock and enter Sister Kirkham office. You can sit in a chair or on the floor and breathe and collect yourself in a safe space.
