My favorite memory of Kate was when she invited some of us out for a fundraiser golf outing, and none of us were sure what the proper etiquette was. She walks in and promptly gets the party started by ordering a round of beers (it was like 9 am on a workday)

My favorite thing about her is that “she actively listens, and is committed to making sure that we do the right thing for our staff and patients.” With my 20+ years of working in healthcare, I’ve found that many leaders at Kate’s level will hear us tell them things, but don’t really listen… she 100% does.
