What is a constitutional Republic?
A republic governed by a written constitution. (also described as Federal Republic too)
There are two different types of governments. What are the two types of Governments?
The first is the National Government an dthe second is the State government.
What are the two ways that the Founders had incorporate the principle in the constitution?
The first way was the dividing powers between national and state governments. The second on is the describing of the obligations that the governments must accord each other.
what is the meaning of dividing powers ?
Powers that are denied to both governments.
What amendment states this? "United States Constitution is the section of the Bill of Rights that basically says that any power that is not given to the federal government is given to the people or the states."
What is Federalism?
The division of power among the governments within a nation.
Why did the Founders choose a federal system of government?
They believed in the biblical teaching of the fallen man.
In the Federalist No.46, Who had stated that "Federal and State governments are different agents and trustees of people, constituted with different powers"?

What is Concurrent Powers?
It is the power exercised by both governments.
What were the three obligations of the states to each other?
There was Full Faith and Credit, Privileges and Immunities, and the last one was called the Extradition.
What is a Unitary System?
It is Central Government possesses all of the power.
What are some powers shared by the national government and the states?
It is the Concurrent powers.
It divides political power between national government and state governments.

The first power was Delegated power. The second one was the Implied power, and the third power is the expressed powers.
What is Full faith and credit?
It is act of one state honoring civil laws and court decisions of other states.
What type of republic does the United States have?
It has the Constitutional Republic.

Those specifically named in the Constitution.

The case was called the McCulloch v. Maryland.

what does Privileges and immunities mean?
It is the special rights and protections guaranteed the citizens of a state.
What is Confederacy?
It is Local units possess all the political power.
What is implied powers?
A power that is not specifically authorized in writing, but is assumed because of similar powers which have already been granted in writing.
James Madison had said "Ambition must be made to counteract ambition". What federalist No.did he said this in?

what are the reserved powers?
Powers that are restored for the states.
what is Extradition?
It is the surrendering of an accused and convicted felon to the state from which he had fled.
