What is something you should do before registering for a class?
- Read up on the curriculum to make sure you know what you are going to be learning throughout the semester. This will give you a better idea of what other classes you should take and whether or not you can balance everything.

- THON is a student-run philanthropy committed to enhancing the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer.
- It is also the most rewarding experience, you should definitely consider joining a committee.

What should you do if you are struggling in a class?
- Talk to the professor and visit office hours! They can better explain the material and this gives you an opportunity to connect with them one on one. This also gives you someone who can potentially write you a recommendation letter in the nearby future!
- Find a study buddy in the class to lean on for support

Is FGA only for first-gen college students?
No. Many people hear FGA and think "oh I can't join it because I am not a first gen". This is not true, we are FGA (first-gen ADVOCATES). To be a part of this club is to advocate for first generation students.
What is a philanthropy?
Philanthropy means to organize or participate in a charitable event.
Greek chapters volunteer their time and efforts to all sorts of organizations including cancer research, literacy for children and adults, animal welfare, human rights, etc.
