the words that characters say to each other in the story
dialogue
the sequence of events that happen across the story. It is often shown on a story arc.
plot
the reason why the author wrote something, such as to entertain, persuade, or inform the reader
purpose
what the character wants in the story
motivation
the turning point or “big moment” in the story
climax
a technique the author used to achieve a certain goal, such as helping the reader create a mental picture or getting them hooked on the topic
craft
the reason why the character can't get what he or she wants in the story
struggles/obstacles/problem
