Scores and registration are two different things. Scores is not listed on the portal, yet. We are working on it.
Does it matter what pacing guide I look at?
Yes!
There is a pacing guide for each program and cohort. You must follow your specific guide to get the correct information and CU count.
Do I need to read the Field Experience Information?
Yes!
Very important information can be found under FE Information and it should be looked at just as much as the check marks.
What are Student Facing Notes called on the FE portal?
Placement Progress
Are the deadlines listed on the FE portal hard deadlines that a student must meet?
No, they are soft deadlines based on the students PCE Expected Start Date that can be changed on the FE record.
Does liability insurance have to last through the end of DT to be fully accepted.
Yes!
The students liability has to last through the end of DT be fully accepted. This means for the fall cohort, students need to renew through the NEA as soon as it opens for the next school year, before the final audit in July.
I know I had to register for my exams, but not post scores! Where was that posted?
In the pacing guides.
It will be found on different pages, based on your program and cohort, but all pacing guides say- Content exam scores and attempts must be posted to your degree plan prior to July 15 (or December 7). All content exam scores need to be posted to your degree plan, passing or not passing. Send scores to scores@wgu.edu.
Where can a student see that they have chosen a district that requires WGU to set up placement?
Field Experience Information.
Under PCE Status it will say Placement Must be Setup By WGU.
Does the Placement Progress box always show up?
No.
If no notes have been written by the placement coordinator, there will not be a box.
Does a student have to be completely done PCE hours before starting DT?
Yes!
A student needs to be done the PCE class, which includes the hours in the classroom and the PCE logs to begin DT.
Does the FE portal tell me when the DT Background Clearance will expire?
Yes!
Right next to Demonstration Teaching Background Clearance it lists the expiration date.
I am a masters, elementary education student in the fall cohort. How many CU's can I have in April?

Page 6 in the pacing guide for GRAD ELED, Fall Cohort.
My student has a green check mark next to Demonstration Teaching Cohort Confirmation. They applied to the cohort and are good to go!

Students should always look at Field Experience Information under DT Status and verify that they are in Applied status.
How often are Student Facing Notes updated when a placement coordinator is actively working on DT placement?
Every two weeks.
