This type of film lighting modification can diffuse light by spreading light out, making it softer.
What is a silk?
A type of shot that involves physically moving the camera forward or backwards. (also the name for hardware that helps you achieve this)

This type of film lighting modification can be used to filter out light, allowing you to darken the frame without closing aperture.
What is a Neutral Density filter?
A type of shot that involves moving the camera from left to right in a set place, such as on a tripod.
This effect will help remove harsh "sss" sounds by removing those specific frequencies, which is very helpful for recording voices with some harsh constants.
What is the de-esser effect?
Sound is measured in pitches, which are specifically known as these.
