A noise which has a source on-screen. They are noises which have not been edited in, for example dialogue between characters or footsteps.

Tone
in written composition, is an attitude of a writer toward a subject or an audience. Tone is generally conveyed through the choice of words, or the viewpoint of a writer on a particular subject
Antagonist
The opposing force that brings conflict and is instrumental in the development of the protagonist, or main character.
Antagonists may also be forces, events, organizations, or creatures.
Non-Diegetic Sound
A noise which does not have a source on-screen, they have been added in.
Shot
series of frames that runs for an uninterrupted period of time.
Mood
the emotional feeling or atmosphere that a work of literature produces in a reader.
Protagonist
The central character or leading figure in poetry, narrative, novel or any other story.
The story circles around this character’s experiences, and the audience is invited to see the world from his or her perspective.
Movie Score
The music composed specifically for the movie to serve and enhance the story. It is usually instrumental only so as not to compete with dialogue.
Scene
a sequence of continuous action in a play, movie, opera, or book
Direct Characterization
the way an author or another character within the story describes or reveals a character, through the use of descriptive adjectives, epithets, or phrases
Conflict
A literary element that involves a struggle between two opposing forces
A story structure in which the writer includes two or more separate narratives linked by a common character, event, or theme
Parallel Narrative
Sequence
a particular order in which related events, movements, or things follow each other.
Indirect Characterization
the process by which the writer shows the character's personality through speech, actions and appearance.
Resolution
The unfolding or solution of a complicated issue in a story. Technically, resolution is also known as a “denouement.”

Take
a scene or sequence of sound or vision photographed or recorded continuously at one time.
Lighting
The arrangement or effect of lights; can add drama and visual interest to any production
Static Character
A character who doesn't undergo any significant change in character, personality or perspective over the course of a story.
