What is Hammurabi's Code?
Hammurabi's Code was a system of laws that was used to govern and provide laws for Mesopotamians. This system of laws gave the basic guidelines for all laws, civil, criminal and others. The rule "a eye for a eye", came from the code. We still use many rules from the code in modern day. Many of Hammurabi's codes can be found in modern day text books.
What is the story believed by the Romans of how Rome came to be?
Ancient Romans belived in the story of Romulus and Remus. This story explained how Rome came to be and gave a peace of mind to it's citizens. THe story goes that a wolf raised the two twin boys and when they were older they decided to start a city together. However when finding the land for this city the brothers got into a fight that resulted in Romulus killing Remus. This is why Rome was named, after Romulus.

There were many differences in being a male child in Athens and a male child in Sparta. For instance, Athens focused more on education while Sparta focused more on training boys for war. Why did Martin Luther write the 95 Theses?
Martin Luther wrote the 95 Theses to try and get the Catholic Church to reform some of it's teachings. The theses highlighted Luther's main arguments against the Catholic Church. He mainly argued against indulgence and tried to promote the idea that faith alone is enough to gain one entrance to Heaven. The impact that the Theses created on the church was very severe. So severe that it caused it to split creating the Catholic Church and Protestant Church.
What were the symptoms and progression of the Black Death?
The Black Death had very apparent symptoms and progressed very quickly. This is what made the disease so deadly. The sickness first started off with painful swellings called buboes. This lumps appeared under the skin and were large and black. Next the victim would experience non stop vomiting and a high fever, with bleeding under the skin and nervous system spasms. Finally the buboes would burst and the victim would die of exhaustion. All of this would take place in a few days.
