1. Blame: they had to accept all of the guilt from the deaths and destruction of the war. Now germans didn't feel proud of belonging to that country
2. Reparations: they had to pay over $33 billion in fines for destruction caused by the war, pensions for millions of Allied soldiers and their widows.
3. Army: they were basically forbidden to have an army. They couldn't have over 100,000 men, no submarines, and no air force.
4. Territory: they lost territory in Africa and many land that they had in Europe. The country was really reduced in size.
