This word, the longest word in the English language today, was actually deliberately invented by a scientist in the 1930s to mock the outrageous length of medical terms. However, it does have a legitimate meaning; it refers to lung disease due to inhalation of fine ash, sand, silica, or quartz dust, including that of a volcano. It is now accepted as a valid word in English and is found in dictionaries.
