U.S. Geography

This U.S. state is the only one in the country composed of two major landmasses that are not connected by land, separated instead by a significant body of water. It borders four of the five Great Lakes, giving it the longest freshwater shoreline of any state. One of its two peninsulas is often associated with dense forests and remote wilderness, while the other contains most of its major cities and industry. The two peninsulas are connected not by natural land, but by one of the longest suspension bridges in the Western Hemisphere.
