How do "Cash Crops" such as Sugarcane and Tobacco contribute to the "Trans Atlantic Slave Trade"?

Cash crops in the New World were given to the Old World for money. However, in order for this to happen, there had to be more workers working in fields to get more cash crops. As a result, people would buy slaves from west Africa to help aid in the amount of cash crops being produced. As more cash crops were being made because of demand, more slaves were needed and there was an increase in the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade. For this reason, the Cash Crops contribute to more slaves because if we keep producing more crops, there is more demand for the products and more laborers are needed for more money to be made.

According to Adam Smith, why is the "Division of Labor" good for the worker and the consumer?

Adam Smith's "Division of Labor" split the work of a product to many people. Traditionally, one product was made by one person and took a long time. This "Division of Labor" process decreased the time it took to make the product by splitting the work amongst many people. Also since there were many different subunits to produce the same product, more jobs were available for lower skilled individuals. As a result, for the worker, they were able to sell more goods faster and have more jobs available. Likewise, the "Division of Labor" had positive effects for the consumer as the consumers were able to get goods for less since more goods were being made with the new system.
