It made other countries desire to create their own written constitutions and put Enlightenment ideas into effect: John Locke, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Thomas Hobbes, etc. It also motivated countries to push for unalienable rights for their people: land, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

The main leader in the Haitian Revolution. An affranchis individual, who helped lead the Haitian Revolution. He quickly became a highly respected individual and is known to many as a hero. He was later imprisoned by Napoleon in a sabotaged plot to end the uprising in Haiti. He died while imprisoned in the French Alps.
