Gold by itself is relatively soft, so alloy metals are mixed in to strengthen the composition. With that said, we do not use any 24k gold in our Fine Jewelry Collection as pure gold is impractical for everyday wear.

What happens to the color of the gold as you go higher in karats?

In terms of color, because pure gold is naturally yellow in color, the higher the karat, the more yellow the metal will appear. 18k will be a more bright, yellow gold and 14k will be more of a muted, subtle gold.

Do we offer repairs on Fine Jewelry?

We should never initiate repairs and they should only be offered if prompted by the customer because the piece holds sentimental value and they would like to keep their specific piece or if the piece has been discontinued and the customer doesn’t want a different style.

Yes, all of our diamonds are Kimberly Process compliant. The Kimberly Process is a UN endorsed program the prevents conflict diamonds from entering the marketplace.

A jewelry stamp is an industry standard that certifies the composition of the metal used in the manufacturing of the jewelry. 

14k -> 585 stamp

How should a customer clean their fine?

With our FJ Cleaning System. If they elect not to purchase it, we recommend warm Water, clear mild soap, and a baby toothbrush. Rinse well and dry with a cotton or microfiber cloth.

How do we achieve 14k white gold?

White gold uses Silver as it's predominate alloy metal. It is then finished with a rhodium plating to give it it's shiny, silver color.
