It is the FD bringing in a fan to blow out the smoke in the building. It is also called horizontal ventilation, or they will simply say "bring in a fan to ventilate, bring in a blower, get an electric fan"

What is salvage operations?
Its the process of protecting and removing personal property to try to prevent further damage to the homeowners personal property. They will lay tarps out, cover things, carry things out of the house, etc.
