Pooped, puking, pale, pain and puffing
How do you use an AED?
On the right side of the chest and the left side of the body.
What is the ratio for compressions to breaths?
30 compressions to 2 breaths.
What are 3 risk factors for a heart attack?
Diabetes, obesity and smoking
What does FAST stand for?
F: face, is it drooping?
A: arm weakness.
S: speech, is the person having trouble speaking?
T: Time to call 911.
Where would you find an AED?
Mostly anywhere.
How long do you continue CPR?
Until someone more qualified takes over or you physically cannot continue.
What are 3 signs of cardiac arrest?
Chest pain or discomfort, shortness of breath and fainting or near fainting.
What does ABCD stand for in CPR?
A: airway B: breathing C: circulation D: Disability.
Do you touch the person when shocking?
No.
What is the first thing you do before CPR?
Look around for any hazards.
What does PLT stand for?
P: Postion the person comfortably
L: Loosen clothing
T: Talk to the person
Why is it important to learn CPR.
So that if a friend or family member or even someone you don't know has a heart attack or a stroke it is important that someone knows CPR so they can save the person's life.
