The white drawers by the sink.
What would you do if you were sure you were finished with an assignment that was just given to you?
You would do unfinished work, or read to self. No other choices.
What should you do if someone calls you a name?
I should use Kelso's wheel and decide how to handle it. I can handle that on my own.
How many library books can you have at once?
ONE
What does engagement mean?
Engagement means I am looking at the lesson, I am listening to the lesson, I am thinking about the lesson.

On the whiteboard, in the middle.
What should you do if someone hits you and it really hurts?
I should talk to Mrs. Gates right away, even if it's during a lesson.
Can the class library books go home?
NO
Should you be talking about what you did last weekend when Mrs. Gates is teaching a lesson to the whole class?
No way! I need to be talking (when it's time) about the lesson only!

In the organizer drawer by the big brown bookcase.

Facing forward, one person in front of the other, zero voices.
I should be working on assigned work, I should not interrupt the group unless it's an emergency.
Should the class library books EVER be on the floor?
NO WAY!
How should the classroom look when we have cleaned up for the day?
Clean! Nothing on the floor!
What would you do if you found the lined paper drawer empty?
You would get lined paper from the small brown bookcase and refill the drawer.
When we are waiting in the hallway how should it look and sound?
Lined up, facing forward, one person in front of the other, zero voices.
What should you be doing in class most of the time?
Following directions.
Where should you store your class library book every day?
During school it can be on the desk or in my drawer, at the end of the day, it goes in my storage drawer.
What is the ONLY supply that is REQUIRED to be on your desk at the end of the day?
A pencil in the pencil holder
Where would you go to sharpen your pencil?
You sharpen your pencil with the pencil sharpener by the sink. Or, you can use a hand sharpener.
If you need to use the restroom, when are you allowed to go?
You can use the restroom when Mrs. Gates is NOT teaching a lesson (independent work time), or if it's a true emergency, you go and explain later.
What should you do if someone is REALLY bothering you and you just cannot stand it anymore, but Mrs. Gates is busy?
What should you do if you damage a book?
Tell Mrs. Gates when it is a good time (during independent work times).
During math, can you shout out numbers for answers?
YES! Sometimes Mrs. Gates will ask us to raise our hands.
