1.) Have the victim sit up and lean forward to prevent blood from draining into the throat.

2.) Pinch the nostrils together for 10 minutes to maintain pressure on the flow and stop the bleeding.

4.) Watch for shock and treat if needed.

5.) Call for help if the bleeding doesn't stop after 15 minutes.
