She drew her warm cloak around her shoulders as her green eyes were fixed on the snow whirling outside the glass door to the deck.

She turned at the sound of the door, blonde hair swishing as she spun.

She sees him, and whirls around to face the snow again.

Jonathan says, "Natalie, please! I just want a moment!"

Natalie retorts, "Go ahead. I'm listening." Jonathan says, "Natalie, please, would you reconsider marrying me?" Natalie yells, "NO! LISTEN TO ME FOR ONCE! I TRIED TO SAY NO, AND I RAN OUT OF NICE WAYS TO SAY IT. SO NO, NO, NO, AND NO!!!"

Jonathan leaves the room miserably. Natalie absentmindedly pets the cat perched upon her shoulder.

Amanda, Natalie's little sister, is busy practicing weapontry in the courtroom of her father's mansion/courthouse in the late 19th century.

Amanda laughs as she listens to the song of her sword as it spins willingly through the air. She revels in the whirling of her sword as it slices and dices her old binders.

"AMANDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Amanda stops in her tracks as she looks up at her father. "Uh, hey dad!" "AMANDA! HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU NOT TO PLAY WITH SWORDS IN THE COURTROOM!?!"

"Um, about a million, dad" "YES! AND DID YOU LISTEN?" "Yes, I just didn't do what you said." Her dad splutters, then bursts out laughing. "Never short of clever remarks, are you, Amanda?

She grins. "Yup!" "Now, REMEMBER, DO NOT harm this room in ANY way, ok?" "Sure!"

A bit of backround info... Natalie is 33 and not married. Amanda is 21 and not married, but she likes Nicholas and Timothy (who are brothers). Amanda has blue eyes and golden hair, better described as yellow.

Amanda's birthday is tomorrow. As her father left the room, Timothy and Nicholas came in. "Hey Amanda!" said Timothy. "We came to ask what you would like for your birthday."

Amanda replies, "Hmm... I think you two should know me by now. Guess!" Nicholas responded, "Sounds just like what I expected to hear, Amanda!" Timothy broke in. "We were, uh, having a uh, discussion, um, about which one of us you will marry. Could, you um, tell us?" "Nope!" "Why not?" "Because I don't know!"

The brothers looked at each other. Nicholas says, "Alright. We've got an errand to run. See ya tomorrow!" Outside, Nicholas says, "One of us is gonna get a bit of a heartbreak soon enough. Sorry if it's you, bro." "I'm sorry too, if it's you."

Natalie watches out the window as the snow dissapears as the brothers approach. She sees the brothers leave as well. She hopes they get suitable presents for her sister.

Timothy goes and buys a silk dress as well as a set of durable riding clothes. Nicholas sells his rod and reel to buy his love a sword of steel.

On Amanda's birthday, she had a lovely morning with family and then the boys came over. She laughed at the silk dress, put on the riding clothes, and rejoiced in the sword of steel.

She and the boys went out riding together along the fields of her father's property.

Meanwhile, Natalie is standing gazing out the window in her room again. She turns at the sound of the door. This time, her father comes in. He puts his arm around her as she says, "They will find trouble, father. I can feel it. I'm anxious." "Don't be, little princess. She knows how to take care of herself." "But her feelings will come clear for the boys, and it will distract her." "It's alright. She'll be fine, I hope."

More backround info: This is a thouroughly complex and magical world. Natalie has the gift of vision, and Amanda has not found hers out yet. Their father has the gift of judgement (which is why he runs a courthouse), and their mother has the gift of cooking wondrous food.

Amanda and the boys ride into a field of flowers. There the Black Knights attacked them. They all fought bravely, but they were defeated and put in prison.

Amanda awoke in a prison. She took out her sword of steel, bent it, and inserted it in the lock. As she unlocked it, the fire alarm went off.

The fire alarm went off because Nicholus used his gift for air conditioning to heat up the air around the bars, melting them. But it also made the air so hot that the christmas bow caught fire and so the fire alarm went off.

Now before Nick had heated the bars, Tim had asked for some tylenol for his imaginary headache. So when he had the tylenol, he smeared it on the bars and since it was acidic it ate away the bars. Then the fire alarm went off.

They all raced outside...

And crashed straight into a bundle of men eating potato chips!

So they were recaptured and beat up with mops.

But then in the middle of the night a batch of moths with sharp-edged pennies came and cut their bonds.

So the three of them ran away, after stealing back the sword of steel. They found a discarded set of size 7 sandals and used them to go to Mt. Olympus and asked Zeus for assistance.

Zeus chucked them off his mountain and they fell millions and trillions of centimeters, breaking a record. Once down, they found themselves on flights to Canada. Once in Canada...

"Er, Amanda, what's the date?" "2/3/96" "And the day of the week number?" "1" "NUTS!!!" "What is it, Tim?" "We've landed in Canada on door day!!!"

Door day is when all doors have minds of their own and will open to random places. Some doors are friendly, some aren't.

Timothy approached a Stop&Shop and opened the door to find a desert. He closed it and reopened it. It showed his home. He stepped through.

Amanda's doors all opened into a strange room that was a mess that looked very much like yours.

She stepped into your room and looks down at you, fast asleep. She quietly opens the door and leaves to her home.

But then she ends up battling the door as it tries to take her into her enimies hands. She defeats the door and she ends up with Nick, who had gone home as well.

Then it starts to rain live giant squid and so she battles them with her sword of steel.

One smashes up the courtroom before it is killed, and one kidnaps Natalie.

A brave young gentelman rescues her and they get married.

Amanda's feelings become clear for the boys. She won't marry either of them!

It turns out she marries Joe from Canada. They both have door controlling gifts.
