ANY person who looks 35 or younger trying to purchase alcohol.
When does free or comped food have to be entered into Union?
EVERY TIME! Birthday desserts, comped meals, any food coming out of the kitchen needs to be entered into Union. To include a salad or cup of soup please.
Also! Free employee meals have these parameters:
Available: Salads (chicken may be added), Flatbreads, Kids meals, Spinach Artichoke, Minestrone or Zuppa, Pasta dishes that do not include seafood, and desserts. (all need to be checked to make sure we have inventory for guests before ordering)
No Bueno: steaks, seafood, lamb, lobster bisque

Problem at a table? How do we handle this?
1. Ask questions to Identify the root of the problem and take ownership! "Could you tell me more about what it is you don't like so I can try and make it right?" THEN "Let me see what I can do to fix this!"
2. Go to the Supervisor on shift with pertinent info: Did you goof the order? Did they order something they didn't realize? How much of the meal did they eat? What was the temperature at the table before the meal and after the food was delivered? How long was it from the time you delivered the food to checking on them?
From here the Supervisor will make a call as to if we are replacing the meal, comping the meal, giving a discount because they ate most of it, offering a free dessert of cheesecake/tiramisu
3. Let the table know what was decided and proceed accordingly.
4. If the table is still upset ask the Super to visit the table or the Super can see if Jeff or Mindy is available to visit the table as needed.

What is one of the rules listed on our reservation sheet for creating a table reservation that need to be followed?
-Never seat more than 4 tables within a 30 minute window, if walk-ins come in, they have to wait for the next time frame to start
-If you just sat one table, wait until the server has gotten their drink order BEFORE you seat another table
-If we have a party of more than 8, their tables need to be reserved at least 60 minutes before their arrival. More than 12, 90 minutes before their reservation
-If the kitchen gets backed up, wait to seat people for 15-20 minutes "Our staff is catching up on current orders right now. Our next seating will be in about ___ minutes."
-If we are busy, verify with the server that they are ready for their next table.
