Plants would not have energy to make their own food.

Lion, Leopard and Wolf are three examples.
What are three examples of predators/secondary consumers/carnivores?
Rabbits, Insects, Mice, Fish are examples of this type of organisms.
What are preys?
An organism that has to eat other things for food.
What is a consumer?
An animal that only eats plants.
What is an herbivore?
The number of primary consumers would decrease due to lack of food. (Use increase or decrease).
What would happen if the number of producers decreased?
Because their these type of teeth allow them to kill their prey and to rip the meat so they can eat it.
Why do many predators have sharp teeth?
Because their large eyes allow them to better see what is around them, while their larger ears allow them to better hear what is around them, so that they have a better idea of what is around them at all times.
Why do many prey have large eyes and/or ears?
An animal that hunts a prey.
What is a predator?
An animal that only feeds on other animals.
What is a carnivore?
The insect population would increase because there would be fewer frogs to eat them due to sickness.
What would happen to the insect population if the frog population decreased due to sickness?
Their eyes are on the front of the head so that they can see the prey in front of them.
Where on the head are the eyes of predators found?
Their eyes are usually found on the side of the head because it gives them a larger field of view.

An animal that is eaten by other animals.
What is prey?
Animal that eats both plants and animals.
What is an omnivore?
The soil would not recover its nutrients and plants would grow weaker and weaker.
What would happen if there were no decomposers?
Sharp claws, Camouflage, Inject poison or Speed are examples of these.
What are examples of predator's adaptations?
Camouflage, brightly colored, poisonous skin, speed are examples of these.

Adaptations.
What are the special traits that animals have that help them to survive in their environments?
The energy first comes from the Sun.
Where does the energy in a food chain/web first come from?
Desert Plant - Gerbil - Lizard - Snake - Falcon
The lizard population would decrease because there would be more snakes to eat them. The falcon population would increase because there would be more snakes for them to eat.
What would happen to the Lizard and Falcon populations if the snake population increased?
Predators need their special adaptations to help them catch the prey they use for food so that they can survive in their environments.
Why do predators have their special adaptations?
Because preys need to survive from the predators that hunt them.
