How popsicles were created (Name included)

Popsicles were invented by Frank Epperson in 1905 when he was 11 years old! One day, Frank was trying to make sodas using his soda-making machine. Later, Frank went inside and left his soda-making equipment out on his porch. When he returned the next morning, he discovered the stick he was using to stir the mixture had frozen upright in the liquid! In 1924, when he was an adult, he applied for a patent for his new discovery, which he originally called the "Epsicle." Later on, he changed the name to the one we're more familiar with today: popsicle.

How chocolate chip cookies were invented (Name included)

Chocolate chip cookies were invented by Ruth Wakefield in 1930. One day she ran out of baking chocolate, so she smashed up a bar of semisweet chocolate and added it to her batter. She thought the chocolate would melt into the batter but instead she ended up with cookies with chunks of chocolate. She called them “Tollhouse Crunch Cookies”.
