EXTREMELY important! In college it is so easy to think that you have all the time in the world but it is important to schedule in study time

As many people as possible, your guidance counselors, and teachers, advisors, etc. Their fresh eyes will check for mistakes and stylistic errors

How many summer internships and jobs should you apply to?
At least 3 or 4 remember that you will need to get letters of recommendation for each one

How many clubs and organizations should you get involved with during your freshman year?
It is recommended that freshman take it slow and join at most two clubs and or organizations. It is very easy to be overwhelmed during your freshman year as you learn to balance school and your social life

Financing college: how important is budgeting??
SO important. It is easy to overspend on things like decorating your dorm room or other personal expenses. You have to factor in the cost of food, books, bills, etc.

Beginning with your most recent or most relevant experiences and then the others in chronological order

Most applications are due by the end of February that year but it is important to turn in your applications as soon as possible

How important is it to read your emails?
In college, emails are the primary source of communication between you and your professors. Check your emails as often as you check your text messages!

College is a time where all the important life choices come down to you. You parents may not be around to tell you not to go to events, it is important to make wise decisions.

No, it is important to spell out all acronyms and explain what your position was during that experience

Are summer experiences more important than extracurriculars during the school year?
It depends, extracurriculars are important to show commitment over a long period of time. It is better to have multiple experiences over your entire high school career than a really good summer experience

Should I go to class?
Yes, always go to class!!!!! You can learn so much from being present in class and you never know when your professor is taking attendance!

What is the difference between Early Action and Early Decision?
Early Action allows you to apply in a smaller application pool but isn't binding unlike Early Decision which is a contract requiring you to attend that school regardless of the amount of financial aid they give you

Managing relationships: Should you hold on to friendships and other relationships from high school.
This all depends on how those relationships are affecting your ability to do well in college. It is important to call your parents and maintain relationships with your family members.

Should I turn down a summer opportunity because it isn't paid

It depends on your situation.Sometimes summer opportunities aren't paid but they may look really good on your resume. Often though the summer experience isn't paid, it may open the door for a year-long paid experience.

Where should you buy your textbooks for classes?
Buying books at the bookstore should be your last resort. Check online on Amazon, Chegg or similar websites for cheaper prices. Sometimes you may even be able to find free pdfs online
