How can I tell the difference between a fiction story and non-fiction story when I start reading?
Look for non-fiction text features like headings, information, dates, tables, and real pictures!
Look for characters and dialogue for fiction

Sitting up nice and tall, tucked in all the way, eyes on my own computer, not making any distracting noises.
