Define unit fraction
A unit fraction is any fraction with a numerator of 1
When two fractions have the same numerator but different denominators, how can you tell which one is greater?
By looking at the denominators. The fraction with the smaller denominator is the greater fraction, because that means the whole is broken in to less parts, so the parts are bigger overall
When you add fractions that have the same denominators, what do you do with the numerators?
You add them together just like you would add whole numbers, and leave the denominator the same
