Getting Your Feet Wet
Campers are given a bracelet of this color before they head out to swim. They then return this colored bracelet to you after swimming.

These two days of the week are reserved for after camp staff meetings!

Wearing clothes such as these is a no no
What are shirts that are not camp shirts (NYTT is an exception), shorts with butts hanging out, open toed shoes (except pool time)

What is a green bracelet
This must be worn on the first day of a session as well as days you are going on a field trip.
What is the t-shirt of the camp you are in that session (ex: kiwi shirt if you are in kiwi that session)
Using these during camp hours can earn you a strike. Strike 1: Warning, Strike 2: you are written up and it gets taken, Strike 3: Evaluate if camp is the right fit
What are cell phones
Being on time for this means you are at camp by 7:20 AM as it starts at 7:30 AM
What is Before Camp Care (BCC)
During Free Time, campers have the option to go to these places where YOU can lead activities
What are field games, odds n ends, (and pineapple room for pineapple campers)
The deep end test is offered on this day of the week and consists of what.
What is Mondays and swimming one lap of the pool (25 meters)
Camp staff binders are kept here when you are not at camp.
What are the binder cubbies located on the stairwell to the basement.
The possession and/or use of these while on duty is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of employment.
What are alcohol or drugs
This is the time After Camp Care ends each day.
What is 6pm
Be sure to be an active participant during these two all camp games on Mondays and Fridays.
What are dodgeball and capture the flag
This is what should be done during adult swim
Staff who are not on duty should get out of the pool with campers (and stay with them) and staff who are on duty are welcome to cool off in the pool (maybe for a fun b-ball game)
This is where your car stays during the camp day.
What is the Burton School Parking Lot on Nadine near the playground.
You should be sure to do this if you are running late to camp
What is contact your Unit Head for that session (also be sure to not make it a habit!)
When checking campers out at the end of the day be sure to ask to see this as well as making sure the person is on the campers pick up list.
What is an ID
Although we are one big happy family of staff, we should avoid doing this throughout the camp day as our campers deserve our undivided attention.
What is clumping
These are the number of on duty stations for counselors during swim time (bonus for naming the location of each station)
4 stations (non swim, shallow end, transition spot, and deep end) (all other counselors swim)
This is the time you need to be out at your tent each morning
What is 8:55 AM (so you should clock in and get prepped for the day before 8:45 AM)
You should be sure to do this if you know you are going to miss camp.
What is LET US KNOW
Bring your positive energy and be ready to lead songs at this first activity we do every morning
What is FRUIT CUP
Be sure to avoid doing this with food at lunch (and encourage campers to do the same)
