What is MISSING from this body paragraph? First of all,  Source 1 states, "The history of the penny goes back over 1,200 years ago, as the first pennies were made all the way back in 790 A.D."  Since the penny has existed for thousands of years it is an important part of the past so the penny should continue to be made and shared into the future.  Karl Newman wrote, "Abraham Lincoln was the first historical figure to grace a U.S. coin when he was portrayed on the one-cent coin to commemorate his 100th birthday. The Lincoln penny was also the first U.S. cent to include the words "In God We Trust."  This proves that a penny is worth more than just one cent, but carries historical value and worth.  A former president is an important historical figure who should continue to have his legacy remembered by having the penny continue to be spread across our great nation.

What is... there is no topic sentence.  OPPSE!  Jumped to text evidence!

CORRECTION:

First of all, the penny should continue to circulate the penny because it has historical value. Source 1 states, "The history of the penny goes back over 1,200 years ago, as the first pennies were made all the way back in 790 A.D."  Since the penny has existed for thousands of years it is an important part of the past so the penny should continue to be made and shared into the future.  Karl Newman wrote, "Abraham Lincoln was the first historical figure to grace a U.S. coin when he was portrayed on the one-cent coin to commemorate his 100th birthday. What is wrong with this paragraph? To begin with, Ann Bailey was a hero because she was brave. According to Source 1, "Ann was willing to ride 100 miles to get gunpowder to help save a settlement." Source 3 states, "She was willing to dress as a man in order to fight." Obviously, Ann Bailey was a brave hero.

What is ... There is no elaboration!!! What should it have said?

CORRECTION:

To begin with, Ann Bailey was a hero because she was brave. According to Source 1, "Ann was willing to ride 100 miles to get gunpowder to help save a settlement." To explain, it takes bravery in order to go on a very long journey to get gunpowder.  Trying to save a settlement probably means she was like a hero brave and courageous.  Source 3 states, "She was willing to dress as a man in order to fight."  This suggests, only men were allowed to fight so she had to disguise herself to look like she was male.  If she went in disguise as a man in order to fight, then she clearly took a risk that required bravery. Obviously, Ann Bailey was a brave hero.
