Take a gulp to cool yourself down. When it comes to beverages, I wear the crown. Not quite as sweet as soda or juice, but no other drinks could exist without my use.
Water
Stepping out? Wear me first! I’ll protect your feet from the worst.
Shoes
Feeling cold? Then don’t forget me! Throw me on before you go. I’m nothing special, everyone has me. People wear me when the temperature’s low.
Jacket
Soft and plump, I’ll be right here. Throughout your dreams, you’ll keep me near. I’ll keep you comfy all through the night, and you’ll leave me here in the morning light.
Pillow
Hop on, let’s go, don’t make me beg. My wheels are fast, but use your legs!
Cycle
It’s all fun and games until I start to sputter. When my blinking lights go black, then you’ll start to mutter. I help you get things done, you say. But rarely that you touch me. Only when the lights go out do you try to press me.
WiFi Router
Fill me up and make me fat, you like me best when I’m like that. But lose track and you will see, you’ve nearly finished what you put in me.
Wallet
Open, shut, open shut. When you’re bored, I take the brunt. But there’s nothing here, you see. Time to visit the grocery.
Refrigerator
I’m always running, though I never walk. Sometimes, I can sing, but I never talk. I have hands, I have a face. You use me to decide your pace.
Clock
In a bowl or on a hook, just keep me somewhere you can look. On a shelf or in your pocket, make sure I’m near before you lock it.
Keys
You say we’re pals, that we’re best friends. But only until the morning ends. You say I give you fuel for the day. And when we’re done, you’re gone away.
Coffee
Rub away, if you must. Let me collect all that dust. Just stomp away, I never hide. I keep the outdoors away from the inside.
Door mat
Pull me back in the morning, spread me out at night. Keep away the prying eyes by spreading me all out. Let the morning light shine in by bundling me tight.
Curtains
With four strong legs, I stand with pride. But please, don’t hesitate to take a ride. Though I love to stand all day, I was made for your rump to stay.
