Suggest them join clubs, sports and go to events around campus. If the scenario is serious enough, then CAPS would be a good resource.

Set a timer on your phone and put it away for a while. Also, stretching, going for a walk or getting some fresh air could be good!
Pam says “When I'm not perfect, I go crazy. I need to be perfect at all costs.” What would you say to Pam?

Connect them with foodshare and other resources on campus. Also the public market bus could be a great option for lower cost veggies and
Jason says “I notice my friend is not responding to my messages anymore and I am getting concerned.” What would you say to them?
Maybe pay a visit to the person or talk to some of their other friends. You could send in a Tiger Concern report as well.
Mindy loves to exercise however, she feels fatigued very easily whenever she runs.This affects the rest of her day because she feels like this should be easy for her. What would you tell Mindy?
For fatigue, the student health center or a nutritionist. Depending on the severity, CAPS could be of use.
Sherlie says “I often find myself having trouble distinguishing my school life between my personal life. Everything seems to blend.” What are some suggestions you could give to her?

Charlie says “I used to love my roommate, but now they don’t talk to me and avoid me at all costs.” What would you recommend Charlie to do?

Suggest the use of tunnels for the cold weather. In terms of the stress, introduce a stress management strategy.
Jenifier says that “I have lost a lot of weight because I seem to never want to get out of bed.” What would you say to her?
Nutrition services on campus to support healthy eating habits during depressive episodes.
“I come from a city and I walk everywhere but when I came to RIT, I struggled with getting the same amount of walking in weather it's snowing out or hot out. This makes me anxious.” Where would you suggest they go around campus?
Perhaps use the tunnels, or trails near campus. The outer circle is also a great place to walk. Talk to OMBUDS or friends about how you feel.
“I have been studying all week and I finally have a Sunday where I don’t have to do anything, except, I feel very guilty. I feel like I should be doing something. It messes with my weekend every time!” What would you say?
Depending on the severity, CAPS would be a good resource to go through. ASC could also help break up when you should be doing tasks so you don’t feel as guilty.
Rachel says “ I hate going to school. My teachers don’t teach well and I feel like i'm there for no reason. All I would like to do is sit at home or go on runs.” What would you recommend for Rachel to do?
