To save students money on the overall project ($10 million) and to lower the cost of the fee increase.

How does the USU fee compare to other CSUs?
Currently we are ranked 16th. The fee increase will put us in the top 5.
What is the first phase of construction?
Friendship Walk Stairs on April 14, 2025.
What will happen to the sculptures?
They will be relocated to the Horn Center
What will happen to The Outpost during construction?
Nothing. The Outpost will remain operational during construction.
How will students pay the USU fee?
The USU is a mandatory fee and is covered by financial aid. Over 70% of LBSU students use financial aid.
What does the USU fee pay for?
Building operations of the USU and SRWC, staffing, programs, services, construction, building improvements and repairs. The majority of the fee goes towards student staff.
