The first 4 steps you take when you see a nonfiction text (for multiple choice portion)

1. Read the title 

2. Determine if the text is FICTION or NONFICTION (write on paper)

3. Write components of summary (depending on text type ) for nonfiction --> TOPIC + WHAT THE AUTHOR WANTS YOU TO MOSTLY NOTICE ABOUT THE TOPIC 

4. Read + Highlight text to support topic 

(remember to always pay close attention to the last paragraph and subtitles)
