You have an official GED test scheduled for Wednesday. Do you need to attend GED class that day?
No. A day spent taking an official GED test is excused and does not count against your regular absences, regardless of the test time.
How late can you be before you are considered tardy?
Arriving after opening ceremonies.
Who needs to sign you out if you need to leave class early?
Your parent/guardian needs to sign you out through the school office.
What important item must you bring with you when you take your GED test?
Your I.D.

How can you earn up to 3 additional excused absences?
By completing approved schoolwork from home on the days you miss.
You arrive at 2:00 PM without parent/guardian approval. What happens?
You are considered absent for the entire day.
You leave class early without approval(just disappear). How is it recorded?
You are marked absent for the whole day.
You are taking a GED test and suddenly need to use the bathroom. Can you leave the testing room?
No. Once you start the test, you cannot leave the testing room, including for a bathroom break.
What happens if you finish all of your GED tests by June?
You are invited to participate in NCS's graduation ceremony in June.
You get a 142 on your GED practice test. Are you ready to take the real GED test?
No. You should generally aim for 145–150 or higher on the practice test before taking the real test.
You know ahead of time that you will miss class. What should you do?

You have a regular scheduling conflict that makes it difficult to attend during the normal GED hours. What should you do?
Talk to Kim. A scheduling accommodation may sometimes be possible.

You will be transitioned out of the GED program immediately.
