This type of text organization gives lots of details about the topic. This type of text organization could be represented with a bubble map.

The author is wanting to give the reader facts about a topic.

This genre has lines, scenes, and acts. It is a piece of writing meant to be acted out in front of an audience. You will find stage directions, setting, a playwright and dialogue in the script.

This genre is a made up story that could happen in real life. It is normally told in chronological order. It has setting, characters, and plot. The author writes this genre to entertain the reader.
What is Realistic Fiction?
This is a darkened, thicker font, collection of letters. After this normally follows the meaning of that collection of letters.

The author wants to convince the reader of a belief or an opinion.

The way the author chooses to structure the text. There is description, cause and effect, problem and solution, chronological, and compare and contrast.

This genre is a story that has been passed down orally through generations. It doesn't have an author but someone who adapted the story and told their version of it. You will see illustrations in this genre. It is normally written with a problem and solution. Often there are animals as characters and there are lots of 3's an 7's.
