When and for how long may students go outside for a break?
When a teacher gives permission; 10 minutes total.
What happens when a student is late to school?
Staff worries. Students check in with office staff and then Phoenix 6-9 staff, turn in phone. 3 tardies = lunch detention. Continued tardies = lunch detention or after school detention.
When may students leave class?
When given permission by their teacher.

What is Community Group?
When students and staff meet and provide constructive feedback to one another. Students may also write reflective journals, evaluate progress towards goals or have restorative conversations to address class challenges.
Community Group will be held weekly on either Thu or Fri. Check the schedule on the board!
What happens after a student has had 3 shifts (discussions with their teacher regarding behavior) in one class?
They complete a Problem Solving Sheet and wait in a side room or with a staff member to process with the class teacher.

When may students use the bathroom?
Students may use the bathroom BEFORE check-in group, between classes, during class if they have a pass, and during lunch.

What is the LPS Dress Code?
General standards of appropriate dress include, but are not limited to, the following:
Students are expected to exhibit reasonable cleanliness in their grooming and dress.
Unacceptable dress includes clothing that is transparent or revealing, or inappropriate for the particular activity.
Also considered unacceptable clothing:
Advertising or referring to alcoholic beverages, tobacco, drugs or weapons;
Displaying gang symbols or denoting membership in gangs that advocate drug use;
violence or disruptive behavior by virtue of color, arrangement, trademark or other attributes;
Using defamatory or vulgar, offensive or obscene language, design or message;
Threatening the safety or welfare of any person;
Promoting any activity prohibited by the student code of conduct
Students may not sag their pants.
Hazardous apparel or jewelry such as spiked belts, spiked wristbands, chains or other items likely to injure the wearer or someone else is not permitted.
Appropriate footwear is required at all times.
Clothing must be worn as intended by the manufacturer.
Appropriate athletic clothing may be worn in physical education classes under guidelines established by the teacher. Clothing normally worn when participating in school-sponsored extracurricular or sports activities (such as cheerleading uniforms and the like) may be worn to school when approved by the sponsor or coach.
School administrators may establish additional specific standards for their individual schools within LPS guidelines.
