Provides students with an experiential learning opportunity to apply your classroom teaching to real-world clients by designing a comprehensive marketing plan. Student teams work from a client brief and provide solutions to actual problems.
Case Studies Library
Marketing EDGE’s Case Studies library includes a wide selection of case studies available to professors. These case studies were specifically designed to help students gain real life business experience without having to leave the classroom. The case studies discuss real-world events and facts that allow students to get into the minds of the companies’ decision-makers.
Outstanding Educator Award
The Robert B. Clarke Outstanding Educator Award honors an academic’s overall achievement in direct and interactive marketing. The award’s namesake, the late Robert B. Clarke, endowed the Marketing EDGE Summit and served as CEO of Grolier. The $1,000 award recognizes an academician’s outstanding record of teaching, writing, research, and speaking.
Speakers Bureau
Provides a marketing practitioner available to speak at a college course session or student club meeting.
Robert KestnBaum Program
Designed to bring together top academic researchers and leading practitioners to support academic research for the development – and practical translation – of leading-edge marketing knowledge on topics of importance to business, specifically in the areas of direct, interactive, digital and new media marketing.
Data Sets
Data sets are made available online to approved academics for classroom use, dissertations, and/or other research and are free of charge to members of the Marketing EDGE Professors’ Academy. Data set usage rules and costs may vary.
Dissertation Proposal Award
The Shankar-Spiegel Dissertation Proposal Competition recognizes the best proposal in direct and interactive marketing. Marketing EDGE awards up to $6,000 total to the competition’s winners and honorable mentions. These funds may be used for travel, conference attendance, data collection, and other research-related expenses.

Shankar-Spiegel Award
Founded by Venkatesh (Venky) Shankar and the late Ted Spiegel. The Shankar-Spiegel Award for “Best Dissertation Proposal in Direct/Interactive Marketing” is presented annually at the Interactive Marketing Research Conference.
