Where is the school counselor's office?
In the Marion building, on first floor, diagonal from the music room. (First door on the left, going toward the restrooms). There is a sign, with my name and the word Guidance, outside my door.
What is confidentiality?
It is keeping something between you and me, and not telling anyone else.

I ask my teacher for a "rock form". The rock form asks for my name, teacher's name, and date. I check off whether it is a "small, medium, or large" rock.
I can also tell my mom or dad that I would like to speak with the school counselor and my parent can contact the school counselor.

If you tell me someone is being bullied, hurting themselves, or planning to hurt someone else. This is a safety issue, therefore, I need to share in order that no one is harmed.

I grew up in New York and I have lived in Ohio, the Cleveland area. Also, a long, long time ago, I lived in North Lauderdale, FL.

You tell your school counselor that someone said they were going to hurt you or someone else. Does the school counselor need to share this?
Yes, in order to help that person or you!
The only time I should see my school counselor is when I have a problem.

Note: I sometimes have students come in my office during their lunch to chat and eat their lunch. This is usually when I don't have a class or a student in my office that I am working with.

I have many hobbies but sometimes it is hard to find time for them.
My newest hobby is diamond art! I also like puzzles, playing Scrabble with my husband, latch hook, reading, playing piano, and scrapbooking.
