Keeping conversations between people private. Not telling others what was said unless absolutely necessary.

Talk with students individually, classroom lessons, small groups, talk with teachers, talk with parents or other staff.
What are the four exceptions to confidentiality?
*Someone is hurting you. *You want to hurt someone. *You want to hurt yourself. *You give me permission to share.

No, but I can talk to you to help you learn from your mistakes.

Does the counselor keep what I say private?
Yes! Unless you are in danger of being hurt or someone else is in danger of being hurt or you are going to hurt yourself.
Will my counselor tell my teacher if I have any complaints about a class or conflict with a teacher?
Your counselor will not tell your teacher without your permission.
How do I set up a time to meet with Ms. Frappier?
Ask me or your teacher if you can meet with me. I'll work with your teacher to find a time that works for use to chat!

Two - (1 sister and 1 brother)
Do you have to be going through a major crisis or have a big problem to see your counselor?
No. Counselors support ALL students whether they need a lot or a little help.

Using coping skills to help calm yourself when feeling strong emotions.

Downstairs office underneath the gym, across from the new teacher's lounge.
