What is Progression?


A skill that is a Progression has several steps until the end goal, ie J1 Pulling Paddles: the first progression would be to use the barbell to accomplish the skill, then with the assistance of an instructor, then followed by the student swimming 5ft unassisted. Once the student has accomplished a level of a progression (for example pulling paddles with instructor assistance) they should not be taken backwards and begin using the barbell to continue gaining independence.
