Defense/reversal - recognition of difference but attached to one's cultural identity/viewing difference negatively. Reversals are characterized by a disregard of one’s culture.
Minimization - views difference superficially/focuses on shared humanity. Characterized by tolerance (which can breed contention) we need engagement
Acceptance - Understanding of other's worldviews and their impact.
