Handle the following objection: What is the difference between GMR and ASCAP/BMI?

Like ASCAP and BMI, GMR is also a Performing Rights Organization. We each have unique catalogs.  What makes GMR unique is we only represent top tier hitmakers and songwriters. The main difference is the exclusive catalogs we represent and license on behalf of. We can’t license (INSERT OTHER PRO) music and they can’t license ours. While the others do represent some big names, they also have hundreds of thousands of songwriters you’ve never heard of.

Handle the following objection: I don't/won't play GMR music.

If you are definitely not playing our music then you won’t need a license with us.  However, many (ESTABLISHMENT TYPE) have chosen to take a license with us given the value of our catalog. We only represent the best of the best in music and are constantly adding new writers who produce new music all the time. It’s important to note if you chose not to take a license and publicly perform any of GMR’s music, even if it's unintentional, you are at risk under U.S. copyright law of statutory fees of $150,000 per song.

I understand why you might think that, but that’s not actually how it works. Under US copyright law, the venue is responsible to take the license for all the activity that happens in that location.
