This should be done to long hair when working in the lab.
What is tie hair back?
This needs to be done to loose clothing before entering the lab.

This is how we consider all chemicals to be.

This is where we wash our hands before we leave the lab.
What is the sink?
A student accidentally dropped a glass test tube on the floor. What should they do?
Inform the teacher immediately. Do not touch or pick up any broken glass.
This item must be worn to protect our eyes from glass, chemicals or heat.
What are goggles?
This is what you are supposed to do with food and drinks in the lab.
What is not eat or drink?
This kind of behavior is not allowed in the lab.
What is horseplay or fooling around?
The lab is over and you have properly disposed of all materials. What do you need to do before you can leave the lab?
Wash your hands.
This needs to be signed and turned in before you can participate in any labs.
What is the safety contract?
This is how you should follow all written and verbal instructions.
What is carefully?
This is how the work area must be kept at all times.
What is clean and organized?
You are using microscopes in lab one day. One of the glass slides has a little crack on it but you could still use it. What should you do?
Do not use any cracked, chipped, broken glassware. Inform the teacher right away.
This type of shoe should not be worn on lab days.
What are opened-toed shoes?
This needs to be done to all electrical equipment in case of a fire drill or lock down.
What is turned off?
This is how long you need to rinse your eyes for if any chemical splashes in them.
What is at least 20 minutes?
In this lab, you have to heat up a liquid using a beaker on a hot plate. You notice that the hot plate isn't working. What should you do?
Turn off and unplug the hot plate. Inform the teacher.
This is one of the areas in the lab where we are not allowed to be without permission
What is the teacher prep area?
This needs to be done to all containers in case of a fire drill or lock down.
This is one place where you can not mix chemicals.
What is the sink?
When entering the lab, you see beakers, strawberries, test tubes, pipettes, and other materials. What should you do with them?
Wait for instructions. Do not touch any lab materials until the teacher instructs you to.
