What is God like?
God made all things even from the tiniest subatomic particle to the farthest galaxy. Everything we see: earth, sun, moon, stars, tree, humans, animals comes from God.
God is Creator
God is Spirit and we cannot see spirit. Even though we can not see or feel Him physically He is there just like light waves and energy.
God is Invisible.
God is not an idea or an impersonal force. He has an identity and a personality.
God is a Person.
God is not just "all knowing" or just "smart", but He uses His knowledge to do exactly what is right. Science, Math, Music are possible because they were first in God's mind.
God is Wise
God gives His kindness to those who do not deserve it. He is slow to anger and longs to forgive. He gives life, families, sunshine, rain, music, talents, and good gifts even to people who do not love Him.
God is Gracious.

God does not change. We can always count on Him to be Holy, Good, Faithful, always loves us and always hates sin. We can always trust Him and His promises.
God is Immutable.
God makes sure that every creature He made has what they need: feeds the birds, gives us our daily bread, gives us a way to escape temptation. His greatest gift is His Son Jesus.
God is Provider.

God is high and lifted up. He is set apart from His creation. God is perfect in goodness and righteousness. There is no one like God. We are to be____ like He is ____.
God is Holy
God knows and loves each of His own. He will do what He promised. Take care of, help, forgive, protect, purify. He always keeps His promises.
God is Faithful.
God saves people regardless of what they have done or will do. He saves people who have families in church and those who do not. He saves those who are rich, poor, smart, not so smart.
God is Impartial.

God could put an end to people's sin and rebellion, but He has pity on people whose lives are broken by sin. He loves them and wants to restore our relationship with Him and give us opportunity to come to Him for salvation.
God is Patient.
God's decisions are perfect and always based on His righteous character. He cannot ignore sin because He is holy. He does not show favoritism. Every penalty will be fair and right. Because Jesus died on the cross for our sins and paid the penalty, God won't punish us for the sins that Jesus paid for on the cross.
God is Just
