Why did the people grumble before arriving at the promised land?
Grumble means to complain or be unhappy about something. Many years passed while the Israelites were lost in the wilderness and they were unhappy with God.

The tree of the knowledge of good and evil was a tree of destruction for Adam and his descendants. While the tree of the Cross was a symbol of survival for Adam and his descendants because of the blood of Jesus Christ.
God showed his love to the Israelites when they grumbled by giving them what?
When they asked for food, God sent Manna God sent Manna (which tasted like honey wafers) and Quail from heaven. They were thirsty and God never punished them for their grumbling and He brought water out for them from the rock.
What did the bronze serpent do to those who died and how is it like the Cross?
The bronze serpent gave life to those who died and the Cross gave ETERNAL life to all who inherited the sin.

The nature being corrupted means that they fell into sin and therefore became rotten through sin and thus leading them to death.

God allowed fiery serpents fiery serpents to bite
the people. Once bitten they would die.
God told Moses to make the Bronze Serpent to save the people. Similar to how God came and redeemed us through his crucifixion.
Why do we need help to heal from death? Can't we do it by ourselves?
As humans we can't self-heal which is why we need the mercy and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ to save us and heal us through his sacrifice on the Cross.

In the wilderness, Moses lifted up this object so that people bitten by serpents could look at it and live.
What are the two things we need to do to earn back the life we lost because of sin?
1. To lift the sentence of death.
2. To renew our nature which was corrupted because of sin.

How does it resemble the Cross?
The Lord commanded Moses to make a bronze make a bronze serpent, similar to the fiery serpents that bit them, and to raise it on a pole. Everyone who was bitten by a serpent and looked toward the bronze serpent raised on the pole lived and was saved from the serpent’s venom (poison). That is why the bronze serpent is one of the symbols of the Cross, because they are both a source of salvation.
The serpent looked just like the fiery snakes.
Jesus looked like any normal human.
What did the bronze serpent not have that the fiery snakes had?
What did God not have that we did?
The snakes had poison/venom that could kill. Jesus didn't have any sin which we all are born with.
What is the crucifixion of Jesus?
This event shows God’s love by sending Jesus to the cross to save humanity from sin and death.
