Usually used when you're in a tricky lie or have an obstacle in the way, you hit the ball into fairway, out of the way of everything to set up your next shot and to keep your ball safe and in play
What should you not do when someone is about to hit their ball?
Talk, Move excessively, put your shadow in their line, distract them, or hit your ball

What does it mean to 'play through'?
When a slower group lets another group pass them

When you shoot 2 less than par on a hole

using your putter off of the green

To hit the top of the ball and bounce pretty close to where you started
When you chunk a shot in the fairway what should you do?
grab the divot and place it in the hole you just created or fill it with sand/grass seed stuff in the tee box or in your cart
What is an 'up and down'?
when you have a shot from around 100-120 yards away and you take 2 shots to get it in the hole
What is the turn?
finishing the front 9 and moving to the 10th hole (back 9)
What does scratch mean
A player whose handicap is 0 which means he is expected to finish any given round at E
Explain Draw/Fade
A draw is when a player hits the ball and it curves right to left and a fade is the opposite (for a righty)
When you leave the bunker, what do you do?
rake it back so the sand is even and your ball mark, divot, and footsteps are all even
What does lie mean?
The position/location of your ball ie how thick of grass you are in/how deep in the sand you are/if the ball is below or above your feet

The furthest tees from the green, typically the black tees
What is a birdogey
When you have an opportunity to putt for birdie, 3 putt, and end up with a bogey

Whoever had the lowest score on the previous hole goes first in the tee box and whoever is furthest from the hole goes first after the tee box
