What is "Auto Compute"?
You'll need to make sure the client has granted this type of permission before you use GoSystem offshore support.
What is Section 7216 consent?
This allows you to review the actual XML data that will be transmitted to the IRS from GoSystem when the return is e-filed.
What is the E-file Viewer?
This was known as the "Government Forms View" in CCH Axcess. You should never enter data into the locator from this view.
What is the "Tax Forms" view?
This Organizer area contains spreadsheet-like fields where you can input various general state information.
What is the "Common State" area?
You can right-click on a field in the Tax Forms view and this function will send you to where the input is coming from.
What is "Direct to Organizer"?
This keyboard shortcut allows you to search a GoSystem locator for any text within the Organizer or Tax Forms screens.
What is "Control + F"?
Entering data directly into the Tax Forms view creates these - which can cause your return to miscalculate, prevent forms from printing, and generate numerous e-file diagnostics.
What are overrides?
This screen within the Tax Forms view allows you to quickly see whether your business tax return is in balance.
What is the Tax Summary screen?
This resource, which is located on the GoSystem Storefront, can be used to search for the solution to issues others have previously reported to GoSystem.
What is the GoSystem Support Call Database?
Entering a date in this field makes the locator "read-only". This helps prevent inadvertent changes to the return.
What is the "Completed Date" field?
This person (or role) is responsible for creating and qualifying the tax return e-file within the GoSystem locator.
Who is the tax preparer?
You can use this screen to navigate directly to the Organizer input screen for a specific form.
What is QuickForm?
These three "numbers" must be included in your email to Tax PSG when requesting help with a GoSystem issue.
What are the Account Number, Locator Number, and Case Number?
This function can be accessed by right-clicking on any field. It helps you keep track of preliminary amounts entered into a locator so you can quickly identify and replace them when the final data is received.
What is the "Estimated Value" function?
