A transition is moving from one activity or subject to another.
Once you have all of your things what do you do until the teacher calls your name to get ready?
Stand behind your desk quietly and listen for your name to be called.
When the teacher claps or rings the bell, what do you do?
Stop, drop, look & listen...and listen to the end of the instructions before starting.
Read the WHOLE time (no drawing, playing in your desks or talking to others)

YES - because things might need to be sent home and its better if it's all contained in one space instead of loose in our backpacks.

When the teacher is reading with a group and you have a question that is not an emergency, what do you do?
Wait until the teacher is no longer reading with anyone. Do not interrupt unless it's an emergency!
Model for the class what it should look and sound like when O Canada is playing and then the announcements come on.
Student should show respect to our country by standing, turning to face the flag, singing or listening. The student should not be moving or working on anything. During announcements students are sitting quietly and listening to the announcements.

Go into the hallway and quickly and quietly get ready. Once we're ready we line up quietly and stay in line.
